one of the most simple rules that you have to follow is to have a schedule for your daily meals. this is very important because is pretty easy to "teach" your body to "ask" for food at a specific hour
for example i eat my breakfast late at 10 a clock everyday. and i never feel hungry before 10 ! i preffer having a late breakfast in order to have a late dinner because that's the most difficult meal to control for me ... that's when i sometimes break the rules.
another rule, especially for people like me who retain water, is to drink water (a lot of water) 15 minutes before eating and not sooner then 45 minutes after you had your meal. that's really easy to do also ... but if you really need to drink water right after eating, drink hot wat or tea (sugarfree off course!)
